Flat Bright Bar
Flat Bright Bar
Bright Steel is a wide range of Steel Sections that also contain one of more additional elements than standard Mild Steel.
Manganese, Aluminium, Chromium, Titanium, Copper, Nickel and Silicon can all be added to produce varying grades of Bright Bar, each with their own specific properties that suit a variety of requirements.
EN1A - A free cutting steel, ideal for applications where there's a heavy requirement for Drilling & Machining. Nuts, Bolts, & Fittings are all common end products for this grade.
EN1A Leaded - A non alloy, free cutting steel with the addition of Lead. Good Machinability and ideal for parts that avoid high stress at work. With the introduction of Lead, this grade's weldability is reduced.
EN3B - General Engineering steels suitable for applications not involving heat treatment or heavy stresses. A real overall alloy, readily weldable.
EN8 - A medium carbon engineering steel. Suitable for Spindles, Studs, Rollers & general engineering parts.
EN16 - A high tensile allow with excelled shock resistance and ductility. This grade is widely used on components such as Nuts, Rods, Gears.
EN24 - A high tensile alloy produced with a Nickel, Chromium and Molybdenum combination. High wear resistance and good ductility.
EN32 - A good, general engineering steel that cannot cope with heavy stress or heat treatments. Can be case hardened and is usually supplied as drawn.
